“Singapore Chinese: Then and Now”
History Gallery

As the leading organisation of Singapore’s Chinese community, the Federation has always been active in promoting the Chinese language, culture and values.

Since its inauguration in 1985, Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Associations has taken a leading role in promoting Chinese language, culture, traditions and values. In an attempt to bring the history of the Chinese community and clan associations closer to the masses, SFCCA has set up the “Singapore Chinese: Then and Now” History Gallery at its Toa Payoh premises. The Gallery introduces the six major dialects, traditional Chinese customs and festivals, as well as a chronological documentation of SFCCA’s development since its inception. Over 300 photographs with detailed captions are on display at this Gallery.
